I just bought a 70 inch TV and needed a new stand for the TV. We stumbled across this stand with the fireplace. We have a very large TV room in our walkout basement and wanted a nice piece of furniture for the TV stand. I first noticed that the shipping weight was 320lbs. I knew by the weight that this had to be a quality piece of furniture. It arrives in 3 boxes and you do need to assemble the stand. I have put together many pieces of furniture over the years and this one had to be the easiest. It didn't have 50 different types of screws and 100 small parts. It maybe had
4-5 types of fastening parts. All you need to do is look at the assembly intruction picture and read less then 1 paragraph. It will require two people at times just because of the weight. The fireplace is better than I expected. I got the one with the glow logs and it really looks good for a fake fireplace. This product was everything I expected and more. The price is expensive, but in this case you really do get what you pay for. For someone who wants a good piece of furniture that is also a great TV stand this is worth every cent.
I have a 7.1 surround sound system, a cable box, blu-ray player, Wii system, wireless modem and an old dvd player. All of these components fit and being a person who hates wires showing this unit hides them very well.Another benefit of this system is that you can pull out the fireplace and have access to the back of all the components in case you have to rewire or swap an item out. I mention this because we all know how much of a hassle it can be trying to access the back of your components. There is nothing that I would re-design in this TV stand.
