Purchased this as a gift for my 13 yr. old daughter and she loves it. She's about 5'4" and she fits comfortably when her desk chair is at a low setting. She has a small room and she really wanted a desk. This fits perfectly without looking overcrowded. My husband couldn't believe the low price. We all liked the style and the durability. This is furniture not a cheap flimsy desk that you will look to throw out in a year. Even the hardware is top quality. The only thing I would change is the height. If your child is tall you will need to purchase a desk chair that has adjustable height. The desk came packed like they were shipping a glass table. Sooo much packing ensured a safe delivery.
