I have just been refunded my purchase. After two days, the remote didn't work. They replaced it immediately. Then the unit started shutting off. I called the manufacturer, Twin-Star International, and they can't help you but will have someone return your call. In 7 days I NEVER got a call back. The unit kept stopping. I would unplug for two hours and it would start. The ONLY way to contact these people is through their Customer Service Portal. But IT NEVER WORKED!!! After three weeks and NO RESPONSE from any technician, I sent a certified letter, return receipt requested to the then president of Twin-Star, Mark Asofsky. He called me immediately and gave me the name/phone of Marjorie Durand to call if the unit didn't work. He told me to unplug the unit, hold down the Power button for 10 seconds, and it would RESET to the manufacturer's setting. AND NO ONE COULD TELL ME THAT WHEN I CALLED? It worked. But one day later the same thing, it kept shutting off. NO ONE RESPONDED. When I called Durand back the next time, the extension she gave me was NOT WORKING. I was asked to fax my purchase receipt and they would send me an insert. I kept trying to contact them but days later their Customer Service Portal STILL WASN'T WORKING!!! I wrote another letter to Mark Asofsky AND the new CEO, Robert Cohen, but did NOT send it certified mail. Guess what? BOTH LETTERS CAME BACK UNDELIVERABLE!! However, I talked with a supervisor, Lori, where I purchased the unit, ELECTRIC FIREPLACE DIRECT, and she immediately contacted Twin-Star International. I received a call from Linda at Twin-Star who apologized. And thanks to Lori I had an immediate refund. I would have bought another unit (I have three EdenPures)from Electric Fireplace Direct, but unfortunately they don't handle the problems with the units. You HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE MANUFACTURER. Five Stars to ELECTRIC FIREPLACE DIRECT for their customer service. And ZERO STARS to the APPALLING customer service at Twin-Star International. I have been in business for 45-plus years and have NEVER had service like this.

I have ordered 4 of these heaters over the past three years. One for my father, aunt, and his friend. This year we ordered one for my in-laws for Christmas. This is a good product and it has held up well.

Got for my 82 year old Mother-In-Law for her summer camp at the lake, she is always cold and this takes the dampness and chill out of the air.
