Perfect for a dorm room or youth bedroom, this complete bunk bed offers a comfortable arrangement for two sleepers. The Elite Expressions Bookcase Twin-Over-Twin Bunk Bed features two twin bunks with bookcase headboards. The bookcase headboards offer handy shelving right by your head, but they can also be reversed and placed on the outside of the bunk bed to provide access from the exterior. Thick framing on the headboard and footboard coordinate with the other pieces in Lea's Elite Expressions collection. The slat roll mattress support system is made up of evenly spaced wooden slats that run the whole length of the bed. No box springs or bunkie boards are required, as this system provides all the support your mattresses will need. The bunks will accommodate mattresses measuring up to 11 inches thick.

If you want to add extra storage to this bunk bed, you can order the optional underbed drawer storage unit or the dual function trundle/storage unit. The underbed drawer storage unit consists of two open shelves and two smooth-gliding drawers. The drawers feature heavy drawer front frames, which act as handles and create a subtle, geometric design. These shelves and drawers will help your or your children keep things tidy in the bedroom. The dual function trundle/storage unit can be used as a large storage drawer divided into adjustable sections, or as an open frame for a trundle mattress.

The root beer cherry color finish is the result of an extensive, multi-step finishing process. This versatile bunk bed offers lasting style that works for youth, teen, and even smaller master bedroom settings.

Each slat fastens with a screw, which increases the structural integrity of the bed. Most twin and full size Elite Collections beds have underbed storage options, including deep drawers or dual-function trundle/storage units, that take advantage of unused space under the bed. All bunk beds and loft beds comply with all ASTM consumer safety standards. Bunk bed ladders and guardrails attach with metal screws and metal-to-metal fasteners for superior strength and security.

Superior drawer construction: The deep underbed drawers feature traditional English dovetail construction on drawer fronts and drawer backs, providing more strength and durability than commonly used French dovetail or box joints. Drawer parts are hand-sanded and finished with a stained, protective top coat to create a smooth, snag-free interior. Drawer bottoms are reinforced by corner blocks and center rails for greater stability.

The drawers operate smoothly on full-extension drawer guides with steel ball bearings that provide easy, one-handed operation and greater drawer stability than standard center-mounted drawer guides. Because the drawers extend completely out of the case, you have easier access to the contents of the drawer - even way in the back. Automatic drawer stops prevent drawers from falling out. Select drawers include special features, such as aromatic cedar bottoms or removable drawer dividers to help organize drawer contents.
