About Martin Furniture
Martin Furniture was founded in 1980 by Gil Martin in the San Diego suburb of El Cajon. Martin started the company in his garage with $400, a Craftsman table saw, and the business knowledge he gained from working for defense contractor, General Dynamics. In 2003, it teamed up with Kathy Ireland's design company Kathy Ireland Home, creating furniture solutions for families.
