I really do love the bookcase. It's the perfect size for what I needed. Only two issues, the directions were pictoral only (would it have killed them to do a little writing?) and the top piece is like an open box. When you look up from under it's the same shelf color as the whole unit, however, when you look down on the unit (as in my case with an overlook from above into the room I have it in) it looks like an unfinished box on the top. It definitely would be hard to assemble by just one person.
The price was great and the quality is also good.

The item looks beautiful, modern, and it gave a corner area in my dining room life. Yet on the other half the instructions are ok, and easy to assembly if you have multiple tools like myself. So when you purchase this item make sure you have a small screw driver because you will never be able to assemble the top & bottom pieces of the shelf. With the proper tools that I had, it took me 45 minutes to assemble it.

The instructions were poor as to other shelves that we have purchased. The finins has several defects that had been wiped over with a color treatment.
