Comments about Enitial Lab Loyd Media Console:
The Loyd Media Console comes flat packed so you must assemble it yourself, like Ikea furniture. The directions that come with DO NOT give you a step by step process. It's just a few images showing how to construct large portions of the console.
When starting construction I found the directions did not match some of the parts. The 'G' inner vertical walls did not have the some of the predrilled holes the instructions told you to use. Instead there were hole for those wood dowels. However, there are not enough dowels to accomodate them. I had to goto a hardware store, buy a 3ft dowel, and saw it down to the proper length to fit in the wall.
Later on in building this peice I found the side doors would not shut all the way with the provided metal arm. At this point I was so fristarted I just removed the arm and now the sides touch the floor when you open them.
The rest of build went fine, however the drawers do not slide in and out very smoothly.
Overall this console is clunky and difficult to construct. Those feet are plastic, not metal and some of the parts when put together are not flush.
If it wasn't a matter of shipping this, I would return the console. I will use it, but would not reccomend this thing to anyone.
