I had an old pub table that I wanted to turn into a children's table for the grandchildren. Regular chairs were too low, bar stools too high. These little counter stools are perfect. Easily assembled, clear directions, everything fit together well. Just perfect for what I wanted.

Packaged well and fast delivery. Right out of the box the wood had easily noticeable nicks and scratches. The second stool was missing the pre-drilled holes to attach the seat to the legs which was discovered at the last step of assembly. The wood will scratch very easily! For the price, you get what you pay for. I am sending them back.

These were very inexpensive, and the finish and workmanship reflects that. That's ok, but know that there are many holiday's in the finish, they are darker than the photo, and if you scratch or scuff them, the wood underneath is very white, so get yourself a good permanent marker in the correct color at an Art Supply Store. Also, I added wood plugs where the hardware recesses in the legs, and metal feet (from the hardare store) to level the legs. A bit of lemon oil and polishing, and these look beautiful!
The price can't be beat - so don't expect a 'silk purse.'
I know from experience that Hayneedle would certainly exchange these if I was truly unhappy with them. But they are exactly what I wanted - expecially for the price. So much nicer than a round stool.
It did take a while to assemble, but most of that time was sticker removal, that's my one complaint - why aren't they easy off stickers? I needed to use a scarper (carefully) and Goof Off.

Very sturdy, very nice. Exactly what I thought they would be! Would have been nice to have little wooden plugs to put in the screw holes to hide them, it would look nicer.
