The Ethan Twin-over-Twin Bunk Bed is constructed of solid pine wood and features a natural-colored pine finish covered in a protective lacquer sealant for durability and smooth surfaces. Strong construction and high-quality components ensure this twin-over-twin bunk bed is built to last. Metal-to-metal rail connections make assembly easy. The top bunk is accessible by a sturdy ladder and has side rails for your child's safety. The twin bunk bed easily converts to two single beds to transition with your growing child.
Full of options, this bunk bed can be ordered as a bunk bed only, with a trundle bed for extra sleeping space, or with a set of two under-bed drawers for handy storage.
Mattresses (Not Included):
- Use mattresses that are 74-75 inches long and 37.5-38.5 inches wide.
- Mattresses thickness should not exceed 8 inches including the mattress surface and foundation combined.
- Ensure mattress surface is at least 5 inches below upper edge of guardrails.
- Weight capacity on top bunk is 180 pounds.
Please note: Bunk beds and loft beds are only to be used by children 6 years of age or older.

The only complaint I have thus far (only owned it one week) is that I purchased the 2 under the bed drawers -- they are not worth the extra money I spent on the bed. First, the drawers do not connect to the bed at all -- no railings or anything, just two drawers on wheels that slide out from under the bed, no control over them. I also think the drawers are small, I was expecting the drawers to be closer to the depth of the bed, but they are only half drawers...

We bought this bed because it was inexpensive and it came with two mattresses. The bed was VERY easy to put together. The material is not the most sturdy, but the bed is nice and it came with all parts. I wouldn't let the kids rough house on these beds at all since the material seems a little cheap. The dowels used to mount the top bed to the bottom bed are a joke. I walked past the bed and got my shirt caught on two of them and they both broke in half. I bought a metal rod from [...] and cut my own dowels. Assembling the bed took me 3 hours. Cutting the rods took 3 more hours. BTW, the mattresses that came with the bed are ridiculous. They don't even fit the bed. I called their customer support line and they said it takes a month for the mattresses to expand. A MONTH!! My kids wanted to sleep on the beds when they were assembled. We threw the mattresses away and bought two new ones that cost as much as the bed itself.Summary: if you want an inexpensive bed that's decent quality, this is a great deal. Just don't expect to like the mattresses.

I just came across this and tho iat's late thought you would like ato know that we have been very pleased with the beds. They arrived very quickly and were not difficult to put together. Our three grandchildren were tickled pink when they calme for their next visit. We have a third mattress under the bed that we pull out for the 5 year old. The other two, 8yrs old take turns on the top. They are here almost once a month. We only had two issues, one of the middle head boards broke after 1 use. It had and still has an odd musty smell that fills the room. It is on second floor so not near any dampness.

I ordered this bunkbed and waited two weeks for delivery. When the beds arrived they were damamaged so I refused the shipment. I called hayneedle and they told me I had to send back the mattreses ,which shipped seperatly from the beds, and when the mattreses arrive back to them they will process my return and then I could reorder the beds. This whole process could take at least another two weeks. Why can't they just send out the new beds while they are waiting for the damaged ones to come back. Needeless to say I will not be buying another set from them o nce I finally get my money back. I can' t comment on the beds because I did not keep them.

Started out great ya no, super deal,great price. Mattresses came alot earlier than expected(awesome), an u will need to let the mattresses air out before putting them in the beds. Then the bed shipments come an im suppose to get 3 boxes an only got 2,luckly the deliver man noticed it on the paper an signed saying that. When I called hayneedle & told them they seem CONFUSED bc there computer shows its all bn out & delivered,well duh! thats what your computer says. It was a long hassle but finally they are getting it fixed. Still dont have the last box yet,after this situation i can only hope that the bed will be put together easliy. Ill defintly come back an post if it was. JUST MAKE SURE AN CHECK ALL DELIVERYS WHEN THEY COME,MAKE SURE U SET IT UP TO WERE U OR SOMEONE HAS TO SIGN FOR THEM, i would only recommened this place currently because of the pricing

I bought this for my son as a Christmas gift. I had been looking around for months and finally decided upon this one. I was really drawn in by having two free mattresses and free shipping. I am happy with the bed so far. It is very sturdy and I had no problem assembling it by myself. The wooden slats aren't the strongest but they get the job done for now. The mattresses are very thin but comfortable. Don't expect a spring mattress, it is foam and only about 5 inches thick. Well worth the money and has made my son a happy boy.
