Sure, it's easy to summon your family to dinner (just set out some food when tummies are rumbling), but we think they'll linger just a little longer when they dine with the European Farmhouse 7 Piece Dining Set.

The table couldn't be more French or fabulous. Scalloped on the sides in a shape that might remind you of a rooster's comb, this table stands on wide, substantial legs made just a bit playful by the pretty bun feet. On top, scalloped edges frame a gridwork surface that's made to resemble a country fence. The table seats six, but the center leaf is removable and stores underneath if you'd like a smaller surface.

And the table really comes alive when you add four side chairs and two arm chairs, which are included. Using Stanley's Super Comfort lumbar support, these six dining chairs are upholstered in an oatmeal linen fabric, dressed up with a border of antique brass tacks. The oval-shaped back adds a feminine flair. Two of the chairs have bow-pad arms that stand a comfortable 25 inches from the floor, so they'll slide easily under the table.

And just like a good meal, this dining table set is all about the best ingredients. Crafted of Dutch white cedar covered in white cedar and ash burl veneers, it's available in your choice of hand-polished finishes. Choose terrain for a hand-waxed coffee color brought to life by the hand distressing; or blond, a natural, close-to-the-wood matte tone with a cream-colored top glaze. Both finishes are made even cozier by the fly specking, burnishing, and other hand-applied effects throughout.

Stanley Furniture's main objective is to produce quality and stylish furniture by using the best wood materials, construction procedures, and elegant finishes on their products to help you fashion your home decor the way you imagined. All of their furniture is hand-crafted from quality woods, incorporating other superior materials such as aluminum, glass, plastic, leather, and marble. Every joint is carefully constructed (keeping wood's sensitivity to heat and humidity in mind) allowing for expansion and contraction. All joints are held together with glue and nail.

Stanley's 30-step finishing process starts with an undertone stain that is applied to a hand-sanded piece. Next, the stain is sealed with a wash coat, then hand sanded again with filler applied to pack the wood pores and smooth out the surface. A sealer coat is then applied, the piece is hand sanded again, and hand padded to mellow the tone. From there, a luster glaze is rubbed on by hand, followed by antiquing or distressing also done by hand. Finally, after drying, each piece is hand waxed and rubbed prior to final inspection.

Care

Do not place your furniture in direct sunlight and/or a damp area. Arrange your furniture so it is not placed in front of or over heating or air conditioning vents. Avoid placing furniture directly under windows. Be careful not to place plastic materials (place mats, lamp bases, notebooks, etc.) on your furniture. Certain plastics have ingredients that may react with and damage the finish. Occasionally rotate accessories so they do not remain in the same spot for extended periods. Avoid creating marks on your furniture by placing a piece of felt, cloth, or leather under accessories. Lift objects from the top surface rather than dragging them across the finish when moving them. Use a protective pad when using your furniture as a writing surface (especially when using a ballpoint pen). Wipe up spills promptly. Water left over a prolonged period of time will cause white spots in the finish, and alcohol, perfume, after-shave, and medicines can cause severe damage to the finish. Dust frequently with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. To remove accumulated dust or old furniture wax buildup, use a soft, lint-free cloth which has been dampened in a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Dry thoroughly using a clean, lint-free cloth, and then apply furniture polish, wiping it in the direction of the wood grain. It's recommended that the furniture be polished every six months.
