This set includes a pub table and four matching barstools. Carved to emulate a continuous disk of solid Dutch white cedar, the spacious round tabletop rests on stave-like supports reminiscent of iron wine-barrel bands. Curved metal feet and exposed rivets complete the warm, rustic look.

Drawing design cues from classic schoolhouse chairs of the 1950s, each barstool features curled ironwork, exposed rivets, and a ringed footrest. The ample 16-inch-diameter seat is hand-polished to bring out the warm glow of the Dutch white cedar and white cedar and ash burl veneers. Available in blond or terrain finish, this stylish dining set has a hand-rubbed, distressed finish for a beautifully weathered look. Terrain is a rich, hand-waxed coffee tone with artisanal distressing, while blond offers a natural, close-to-the-wood matte finish with cream-colored accent glaze.

All of their furniture is hand-crafted from quality woods, incorporating other superior materials such as aluminum, glass, plastic, leather, and marble. Every joint is carefully constructed (keeping wood's sensitivity to heat and humidity in mind) allowing for expansion and contraction. All joints are held together with glue and nail.

Stanley's 30-step finishing process starts with an undertone stain that is applied to a hand-sanded piece. Next, the stain is sealed with a wash coat, then hand sanded again with filler applied to pack the wood pores and smooth out the surface. A sealer coat is then applied, the piece is hand sanded again, and hand padded to mellow the tone. From there, a luster glaze is rubbed on by hand, followed by antiquing or distressing also done by hand. Finally, after drying, each piece is hand waxed and rubbed prior to final inspection.

Care

Do not place your furniture in direct sunlight and/or a damp area. Arrange your furniture so it is not placed in front of or over heating or air conditioning vents. Avoid placing furniture directly under windows. Be careful not to place plastic materials (place mats, lamp bases, notebooks, etc.) on your furniture. Certain plastics have ingredients that may react with and damage the finish. Occasionally rotate accessories so they do not remain in the same spot for extended periods. Avoid creating marks on your furniture by placing a piece of felt, cloth, or leather under accessories. Lift objects from the top surface rather than dragging them across the finish when moving them. Use a protective pad when using your furniture as a writing surface (especially when using a ballpoint pen). Wipe up spills promptly. Water left over a prolonged period of time will cause white spots in the finish, and alcohol, perfume, after-shave, and medicines can cause severe damage to the finish. Dust frequently with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. To remove accumulated dust or old furniture wax buildup, use a soft, lint-free cloth which has been dampened in a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Dry thoroughly using a clean, lint-free cloth, and then apply furniture polish, wiping it in the direction of the wood grain. It's recommended that the furniture be polished every six months.
