I am completely satisfied with this bike. I needed something to strengthen my knees & get some cardio too. This addresses both. Exercise bores me to the point where I have never held out for even 5 minutes. I was able to do 15 minutes the first day with this bike. It is easy & comfortable to read while pedaling which makes the time pass. The bike is quiet & smooth. Everything works perfectly and the size is nice, doesn't take over the space.
I researched & read comments for a few days before deciding. I am very happy I chose this one.

Good but could be better!
I am having an overall good experience with my 900XL. The only issue I had for assembly was that maddening tension adjustment cable, the so called directions didn't cut it for that step.

I am having an overall good experience with my 900XL. The only issue I had for assembly was that maddening tension adjustment cable, the so called directions didn't cut it for that step.
Like most of the other reviews it is amazingly quiet which is the whole reason I ordered it, so no having to max out the TV volume for the treadmill.
The only cons I have for this unit is the seat. That is by far the weak link as after an hour it feels like I'm sitting on a 2x8 board. The tension from Hight to Low wasn't much of a difference in my opinion either. Which is fine for me because I prefer more tension in my workouts.
Looking back I would probably spend an extra hundred bucks for the next level of recumbent bike or at the very least went to a store and tested out an identical model before purchase.
The "Bottom line" section of the review, I would recommend spending more money for a better model. Cheers

We bought this because my wife and I both have bad knees and our Dr. told us that a recumbent bike would be a very good low impact exercise. Also swimming. Since this bike was a good price...much less than a swimming pool...we went with it.
Hayneedle shipped quickly and upon arrival I was able to assemble it in about 2 hours. Follow the directions, take your time, and use the tools provided...it is quite easy...just read the directions carefully...I had no problems.
If you are not at all mechanically inclined...you may need help. Very pleased with it...quiet, good readouts, easy to adjust...the front hand grips are great for getting on and off..the wheels to move it about are just what we need. Very stable.
