We have an upstairs teen cave that our lab should not enter. It's also the litter box area for our cat. This was the perfect solution and works well in a stairwell...although some manuvering was needed to get around the handrail.
One thing. The latch will not work out of the box. The adjustable spaces when tightened push the gate pieces together so the latch will function when installed.

We bought 2 gates to close in an area and make an indoor dog play area. Fairly easy to set up with a little more time to fine tune. We have a Shorky puppy (Yorkie/Shi Tsu) and thought that this gate would be perfect with the little door in the gate. Looks great compared to most of the gates we looked at. After all was set up and we put her in we realized that she is small enough to fit between the bars and she got out. We are hopeful that she will grow just a bit more, otherwise, some modification will be needed. I would still buy this product just because of the swinging gate and latching system and how it looks in our home.

It was easy to put up and i love the door. It fixs perfect and the extra side gate that i got just in case it was too short it came in handy.I love it.
