Description

Pressure cooking uses pressurized steam to cook healthful meals, locking in vitamins, minerals, and flavors, as well as reducing cooking time up to 70 percent. The Fagor Splendid 2-in-1 Multi-Pressure Cooker 5-Piece Set includes four- and eight-quart pots (one deep and one shallow), a pressure cooker lid that fits both pots, a tempered-glass lid that fits both pots, a steamer basket with trivet, and a recipe book. It offers features such as a visual pressure indicator, an automatic pressure release (which allows you to release pressure without running the device under cold water), and a triple-lock safety system that prevents burns.

The pots are constructed of durable 18/10 stainless steel with impact-bonded thermo heat conductive bases, which places aluminum between two layers of stainless steel for even heat distribution. Just seal the food and liquids with the pressure cooker lid, then place the pressure cooker on a stove burner. The unit will bring the internal temperature up to 250 degrees, building up pressurized steam that begins to quickly break down the fibers in the food. This method preserves the food's inherent vitamins and minerals while keeping it juicy and delicious.

Dual pressure settings on the pressure cooker handle - one in a dial control and another on a valve - provide added safety. Other safety features include two pressure release valves and a locking handle. A visual indicator pops up or retracts to indicate the pressure level in the cooker.

You may also use the pots for traditional stovetop cooking. The glass lid fits tightly over the pot rims to trap moisture and allows you to monitor the food's progress. The five-inch-tall stainless steel gourmet steamer basket holds vegetables over steaming water or serves as a colander insert for pasta.
