Table is sized right for places were you may not have a lot of space. The table top dimension are 36" x 48" (w/o the 12" leaf) and 36" x 60" (w/ the leaf). Height is 30". The butterfly leaf stows nicely out of the way. Table is of hard wood construction and is solid. Installation of the legs is the only required assembly. Easy.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I am very pleased with this table. It is a very attractive Farmers style table, very sturdy. I bought this after remodeling my kitchen with red birch cabinets which, as it turns out, are a perfect match to the light oak of the table. The hidden 18" extension is a great idea, and works very easily. [...]. After unpacking the only thing required was to attach the four legs, not too difficult for two senior citizens! They even supplied the little wrench to tighten the hex nuts.
