I've bought 3. All worked great. One has worked for 8 years in bone chilling weather. I keep a bird bath top on the ground for other thirsty animals. I've weighed it down with a half brick and ducked taped around the electrical chord connection to keep it dry. After one season they look pretty rough but birds don't mind. Pam
