After extensive research we ended up with this rower. Not by design but because the Pacific model of this brand was back ordered. It was a blessing in disguise. Couldn't be happier. The price on this website was a lot less than any other site. It arrived a week earlier promised.

Comments about First Degree Fitness NEPTUNE Challenge AR Adjustable Resistance Fluid Rower:
I have only had the rower a couple of days. Everything went together as planned. The only setup suggestion I have is to adjust the vertical bolt while on a hard surface floor, not on carpet. I tried on carpet and had it overtightened, but no damage.
As for the workout it is very good and smooth. I can do 45 pushups 25 & 20 when I do my workout, and my arms stll felt the burn after just a few minutes on the rower. I could feel my heart rate increasing after just a few minutes rowing as well.
I bought this product to replace a Nordic Trak skier that I had worn 2 clutches out on. It took about 3 weeks of research and hunting when I found Hayneedle, and the deal they had on the rower. The water resistance seems to be the best low impact workout with smoothness over some other types of rowers. I did not have $1000 to spend for the machine. So I went with this machine because it seemed to be the best bang for the money.
