The shelves are a great Idea and work well. The Finish has a good amount of nicks and scratches that have beenc covered up with what looks like magic marker. (are these factory blems)? I am not impressed with the attention to the packaginig. They were all in one large box stacked on top of each other. This resulted in the shelves rubbing against each other with only the thin plastic wrapping protecting the surface which did not fair well. A piece of cardboard between the shelves could have solved this problem.
