Counting the shelves of the Fuzion Modern Bookcase - Black is kind of like counting the unit's possible uses - they're many, and every one's modern. Crafted with durable wood, MDF, and selected veneers, this upright storage unit is a bookcase, and a display case, and office storage, and dining room organization - you get the idea. Clean-lined, Asian-inspired shelves are asymmetrically segmented with offset dividers to create up to 15 storage and display spaces for books, photographs, files, and dishes. The open back gives the piece lightness, while a deep black finish anchors it firmly in the contemporary school.

after moving to a smaller place to live, my wife and i had some things that we wanted to display. i was looking for a modern looking book/display case that had some personality. this book/display case fits the bill nicely.
it weighs in at 65 pounds and the shipment is double boxed - a nice touch to keep the pieces from getting damaged.
it probably took somewhere between 2 and 3 hours to put together, and one person can easily do that job. the directions are clear and it is an easy assembly. the only odd thing is that you assemble it upside down and then you have to flip it over fully assembled.
overall, it is a very nice piece, and it fills the wall nicely.
