Description
Replace outdated or low-voltage lanterns with the Gama Sonic Solar Post Lantern. This gorgeous lantern comes ready to install on your current post. Six super-bright LED lights use a specially patented cone reflector that makes the light brighter. The 19th-century gaslight design features beveled glass and adds classic appeal to your front or back yard. You'll also love the easy operation of this beautiful solar lamppost: it automatically turns on at dusk and off at dawn, or you can alternatively choose to use the manual on/off switch.
Using energy-efficient solar-powered technology, the solar lamp bulbs receive their energy from built-in, rechargeable batteries that are charged daily by the sun. Constructed of cast aluminum, this lamppost features a weather-resistant, rust-resistant, and maintenance-free powder-coated finish in black. Perfect to illuminate a patio or pathway, this lamppost includes bolts so you can secure it to the post. Dimensions: 9L x 15H inches. The bottom of the lantern has a 3-inch opening for the post.

We are using two of these lamps on our entry walkway. They provide enough light to see comfortably, but not too bright for those who are sensitive to light. Very pleased so far.

Advertised as "on at dusk, off at dawn" never happened. Even replacing the original batteries with the "second generation" from Atlanta, the lights came on at dusk and off within two hours even after soaking up bright sunlight for days.
Lights are very pretty to look at during daytime, but do not provide the security at night I was needing as a replacement for my aging gaslights.

Design engineering on this light is fantastic. The light output is great!
Now, think about wall-mounting this unit, with 15-foot cable attached to a solar collector. -- Would be ideal for my gazebo or pergola.
And...you need to emphasize a bit more that this present setup requires placement on a 3" pole.

Excellent light output, blue/ white under a new moon you can read a book. I ordered 1 to try went back and ordered 2 for road gate, and five for stable area. No more tripping in middle of night checking horses (14) . Just added two more for my parking area. Bright all night, and no wires.
