I currently focus on coins from in public gathering areas like school grounds and ball fields. The 250 allows me to isolate the type of metal I am looking for and with the pinpoint function quickly locate it. It is light weight and easy to use. I keep it in my trunk for quick use when I see a likely area. I say buy it.

Like the idea that you can program out the things you are not interested in. As I get better I do not have to buy another detector, the CSI 250 has it all.
