Comments about Replogle Geographer Dry Erase 12-inch Diam. Tabletop Globe:
The lack of place names is a huge asset to this globe. Lessons can focus on relevant countries and regions without students being distracted by other place names. The globe format gives students a sense of physical relationship between places. It helps to augment this globe with either a map, atlas, or second globe that does list place names. A huge benefit for this map is testing. Places on the map can be numbered and students can be asked to identify the locations by number. Of course, the same task can be accomplished using a flat map but the globe is another important modality for students to gain a perspective about our world.

I homeschool our children and we will use this globe to test their knowledge of the continents and countries. I was disappointed to discover that it comes without any of these labels (countries, continents, etc.). Other than that, it is a cool globe.

Comments about Replogle Geographer Dry Erase 12-inch Diam. Tabletop Globe:
Perfect for showing my 4 year old niece where I've traveled. The globe is very light, and the turning action is very smooth. No need to worry about bonking little ones on the head, and the materials are strong enough to take lots of handling. I like that national borders are outlined, but there isn't too much geographical detail to clutter up the big picture. A very good globe for teaching kids rough geography in a home or school setting.
