Description
Incorporated in the Gold Medal Commercial 30 in. Bar Height Director's Chair are the best features from each of the Gold Medal designs since WWII. Hand-crafted arm pads, sculptured back posts, and custom-fitted American Beech hardwood joinery provide maximum strength and simplicity. Wood joints are hand-fitted with steel pin and glue construction. 14 oz. cotton canvas fabric covers are finished with color-fast dies. The commercial chair also employs a 1/8 in. reinforced steel seal rail bracket for extra reinforcement and nylon swivel glides to protect flooring surfaces.
This chair delivers the tradition of 19th century craftsmanship to the 21st century casual furniture market. Special features include rust resistant gold-toned zinc-plated hardware and double topcoats of hand-dipped clear varnish or gloss enamel finish. The Commercial 30 in. Bar Height Director Chair offers a 3-year limited warranty covering all manufacturing defects. This chair is available in several frame colors along with multiple canvas colors to choose from. Load tested to 300 lbs., the chair folds compactly for easy packing and storage. Proudly made in the USA.

Assembly
To install the seat and back on your directors chair frame, please open up your chair frame approximately half way, so to allow the fabric to fit loosely onto the frame and then open up the chair once all fabric portions are applied. Only reason for four instead of five stars is I believe the support (anchor) rods in the seats are about an inch too short; therefore, the seat edges tend to curl. I will replace them with longer wood dowels. Never-the-less, I'll still very likely order two more of the chairs in a couple of weeks.

We use this product in our retail cosmetics store in which we have hundreds of customers sitting in these chairs daily/weekly. They are excellent construction and our customers LOVE the comfort. The arm rests are perfect height and the foot rest is very durable for stepping up and off the chair.

Our recent purchase of two Gold Medal Commercial 30" chairs filled a need we had for chairs that would allow us to see over the railing on our deck and take in our ocean view. The chairs required no assembly (a definite plus) other than putting on the canvas seats and seat backs which was accomplished in seconds. The chairs are attractive, comfortable, and high quality. We haven't had them long enough to gauge their durability but, judging from the quality of construction we would expect them to last quite a while, even in our ocean-front environment.
