This exquisite hearth rug is designed to protect nearby carpet or wood flooring from any embers that might escape from a roaring fire. Suitable for use with wood-burning fireplaces, Firewood Collection rugs are produced in a half-round shape and constructed of durable polyester. Please note that embers may on occasion produce small melt spots on synthetic fiber rugs, but the rug will not burn.
This Flame Collection Hearth Rug meets or exceeds the CPSC standard FF170 for flammability. This means that the carpet will not continue to support combustion once the igniting source has either cooled or been removed. Enjoy midwinter warmth and safety with this attractive rug.

I bought four separate items. This was the smallest item. It came wrapped only in clear plastic and I had to pay $5 delivery charge. The two small electric stoves and fireplace screen were delivered free.
It is just a basic rug and seems pricey for what it is. Time will tell if it does the job of protecting the carpet and being fire retardent.
