The star-and-stripe-bedecked feeder is rich with detail and finished with a wash of cheerful color that allows the natural beauty of the antique wood to shine through. Every house is fashioned with timbers hand-picked from barns, varying in age from 140 to 100 years, which have been slated for demolition  it's a small piece of American history as well as a handcrafted work of art. From a design commissioned by President Gerald R. Ford in honor of his daughter, Susan.

The feeder is 14 high and weighs 8 lbs. with a 3 lb. seed capacity. It features an antique laundry pin perch, a roof that's easily removed for filling and a Plexiglas window that allows you to determine seed level at a glance. It's sealed with a marine varnish for optimal water resistance that's also safe for your avian guests. Every piece is an original creation so each will vary slightly in appearance. Holds both traditional and fine seed mixes.
