This is a great board to get started on. It was easy to mount and comes with everything you need to get started. I've played everyday on this board since I got it and I've been really happy with it. The only drawback is that there are a few more bounce outs than I might like, but this hasn't been a big problem.

Fibers / bristles throughout the board has tough areas which causes bounce outs more than often (unacceptable). Bounce outs are frequent for light darts (<24g) or a soft thrower.
The tough areas are imbedded in the bristles similar to the dark found in Marble slabs / countertops.
The inexpensive darts use non standard sized shafts, probably not worth replacing regardless.
Overall, I would not recommend the board and would return / exchange, but due to the low price and returning shipping cost I have decided to give the board to a friend.

I was excited to get it in a timely manor However I wasnt happy about a few rips on the front of board I was to excited to use it to send it back. Like I said I like the product generaly but not the condition. I had no problem mounting it but if someone didnt no how the directions werent to clear for mounting without cabinet. Like I said I had no problem mounting just sayin If condition was perfect like it should have been Id of rated it better. I was planning to get another soon Id appreciate some compensationnext time it also said no staples that wasnt case I should have received what I was told i was getting

I would have given it 5 stars because for the price you can't ask for much more, but as it is I give it 4. Hopefully it's just because it's new that all the darts fall out, but that's annoying. I've played darts for years and had a different one for a while and I've never had problems with darts falling out (not bouncing, but sticking for about 20 seconds then falling down). Hopefully that will stop happening. Still good for basement games with friends.

I bought this dartboard to have on hand for our family reunion. It arrived in a couple of days after ordering. Everyone really enjoyed playing and thought the board was very attractive and well made. However, there were no mounting instructions in the box, nor any instructions as to how to put the flights on the darts. Fortunately I found the mounting instructions on the product page online and my husband just got lucky and figured out the other on his own. It would be helpful for novice players to include these instructions in the box!
