Constructed of wood veneers with a beautiful, rich cherry finish, this bookcase is sure to complement the rest of the room with its traditional look. Choose from several different sizes and shelves that will accommodate your needs. It's totally functional and makes for a stylish space for storage. Each shelf has a weight capacity of 150 pounds.
Available in several sizes, each bookcase option features three shelves, two of which are adjustable. The two adjustable shelves can move up or down two inches. Each shelf has been tested to support up to 150 pounds with even weight distribution. Steel-reinforced rods are screwed (not stapled) into the shelves for superior strength. Whether you put books, baskets, or board games on these shelves, you'll be thankful for the extra storage and appealing style this bookcase brings to your home.

Self leveling feet would have been helpful as many floors are not straight, requiring retrofit. The veneered back panels pucker at the seam, which would be a problem if shelves were for decorative purposes.

when the item arrived the shipping boxes had a ton of tape on them and many creases and bends. The delivery driver stool the box on end and about 2/3rd of the way up there was a definite bend and wobble as he shook the box(and he didn't shake it hard at all) . This was the 2nd set of these shelves we ordered; of the 3 shelves on the first order we got 2 of 3;the third one was sent back before delivery. I should have know ,but accepted the shipment anyway. ...Began the unpack and the shelves came in OK but as I lifted out he last shelf and pulled back the foam covering, sure enough a problem was discovered, both the side panels that make up the outer sides of the shelving unit were totally broken thru, 4 pieces instead of 2.
Called the Delivery Co and they came to pick them up the next day, informed Hayneedle and they are working with us to make a refund so we can replace the unit; yes we still want one, the first 2 were excellent!

Box was in shambles with yards of tape around it. The book case shelves were damages.

We ordered the smallest bookcase for our home office. It was as advertised, sturdy easy to assemble and all the pieces fit nicely. We have no complaints! We put it together and are already using it!
We ordered it on a Wednesday night around 10 p.m., with free shipping by Fed Ex, and it arrived on Friday at 4 p.m. The shipping container was not damaged, either! This is a sturdy, nice looking unit for a great price and it met our needs to a "T".

The bookcase is adequate in every finished detail, but some of the pieces arrived missing drilled holes. it didn't take long to fix the problem, but I had hoped for better QA from the manufacturer.
