This stove is a refreshing change to the overstuffed and silly designs of the plastic monstrosities out there. It takes up far less space but provides a great deal of creative play ~ stove, oven, dishwasher (or laundry depending on what day), a clock and shelf. Add a bright, pleasing color and the fact that it could fold up if we needed it to? You got yourself a deal...
Notes though... while it'll fold down, it's NOT easy to put together. You even have to add the double hinges on the doors and folding elements. Thank goodness we didn't try to put it together after we showed our son the box!
One piece, the magnet panel that the doors connect to shut, did break after repeated closing. It was glued and stapled on; we need to screw it back in.
Overall, this is a wonderful stove and we would highly recommend it.

Arrived nicely packed but when all the wrapping was taken off there were several pieces with small but deep gouches in the finish. The most visible was on the countertop, lower right hand corner. My 3 year old doesn't care but I do even if I did buy it on sale. In addition, the directions are fair at best. If you are good at putting things together then you are fine. Otherwise directions are vague and the pictures depicting the hardware were complete inaccurate (except for the count of items which is the only way you could figure it out), the pre-drilled holes were often slightly off their mark and the actual pictures themselves were inaccurate showing the clock and the nail holes in the wrong place. The positives is that it folds up nicely, is heavy and solid and the little knobs all click and the clock hands move providing much entertainment.

After opening the package to put the pieces together we learned that there are three significant items missing in order for us to complete putting the kitchen together. We are missing the two taller, curved pieces that support the rear of the kitchen, we are also missing wooden dowels. Unfortunately we realized this error on Dec 23 and Hayneedle's customer service must have been closed because no one answered our calls for assistance the 23 or 24th. We will be calling again tomorrow and hope for solid customer service to help make up for a large hole in our Christmas plan for one disappointed little girl. I will be updating this post about the customer service we receive.

We bought this kitchen for our grand-daughter for Christmas. It is very nice, although there were several scratches on it. It arrived quickly and I think she will love it.

This kitchen is exactly what we needed. It is a bit tall for our just-turned 2-yr-old, but we knew this when we purchased it. The knobs make clacking sounds and the faucet knobs turn - a big deal for my son. He is learning to cook with Daddy so this product makes him feel like he is copying Daddy. As a result, he isn't "helping" as much.
I give this 4 stars because of the condition we received the item. There were some small dings and chipped paint areas on some edges; we can cover these with hobby paint. The oven door plastic panel is very flimsy. The screws holding it in place sheared off the first time my son pressed on the panel. We will be gluing the piece in place at a later time.
