This is a beautiful, classic jewelry box. However, design construction has some glitches. I returned the first box due to drawer handle being detached from the drawer, apparently screw was not long enough. But I loved the look and storage for frequently worn pieces so I reordered another. The second had a glitch in design with the bottom drawer difficult to open. It did not glide easily like the upper drawer. I am keeping it anyway hoping that it will loosen up with use. Hayneedle was great about the return and reorder. It was all completed within a week of return. Excellent service from Hayneedle.

My wife has been searching for the kind of jewelry box her mother had years ago. However, the vintage boxes she found in shops were always worn, stained, faded, or just plain ugly. So, when I spotted this slick new model, it seemed to have all the features she wanted in a glossy new package. And, I was right...she loved the plush compartments and solid quality of the box that also featured a rather glossy retro look. Hopefully, this classic piece will become a cherished family heirloom.
