Wrong color sent - ordered ebony and received oak. Middle panel on left side of computer hutch arrived completely split and detached. Ordered replacement, received 75 pound box with entire hutch. Had to unpack to find replacement piece. Replacement piece was unglued and splitting. Had to repack box and have fed ex pick up. Complete waste of time.

I am using this desk and hutch for my home office. It is beautiful, solid wood. The description says "cottage oak". This desk looks nothing like oak, although I am very happy with the stain color. It is more of a walnut wood stain color (darker and richer than oak). The assembly is quite difficult with lots of parts, however, once assembled, it is great. In one of the boxes I was short 3 screws for the drawers, but luckily I had some of my own that worked. Also, one of the preassembled wood pieces had come apart. I did not want to wait for the company to send me a new one, so I put some screws into the piece, where it can not be seen. Overall a great desk, but be prepared to work on it for several hours.
