The graceful split pediment features a turned finial and a book-matched rare olive ash burl overlay with a decorative shell overlay in the center. Beneath it, the polished brass finished dial boasts elaborate corner spandrels, central disc, and a silver chapter ring with applied brass Arabic numerals. A lamp behind the dial illuminates the pierced astrological blue moon phase, resulting in a delightful twinkling star effect. Beneath are polished brass weight shells and pendulum with a center disc that recalls the dial. Reeded columns with turned top and bottom caps flank the door.

The sculpted base features a distinctive, decorative cutout, with book-matched olive ash burl overlays in the corners of the lower door panel. Crystal V-grooved glass and removable upper glass side panels enable easy access to the movement. This clock with cable-driven, Westminster chime Kieninger movement features an automatic nighttime chime shut-off option. The door locks for added security, and adjustable levelers under all four corners ensure the clock remains level on uneven and carpeted surfaces. Also included is an exquisite brass plate suitable for personalized engraving. It measures one inch high by three inches wide and features double-sided adhesive tape on the back, giving you the freedom to place it wherever you wish.
