When we received the clock, the hands were loose and would move unreliably if we gently handled the clock. We think this one is just defective, so we're sending it back in. The other one we got has had no problems. It's just a lot smaller than we thought. We run 12 rooms in a preschool, so for us to have accurate time is much needed, and we were hoping for that in this clock. It's a half-success.

This clock is going in a kitchen. It is a perfect example of "less is more." I wanted a clock with separate minutes, one with attractive numerals, one that could be seen from a distance. For the price, this clock is a fantastic buy. Normally I don't care for plastic, but the case is a dull finish and not at all cheap-looking. And of course, it's made by Howard Miller.

This clock looked great until I looked at the back and saw the same lousy movement that has been on the last 3 or 4 clocks I've purchased. Made in [...] and guaranteed not to last more than a year or so. I used to specify Howard Miller clocks professionally but have my doubts now.

I purchased these for my teen daughter who is a student ambassador who travels in the summer.She is making a picture collage display of her travels on her bedroom wall and wanted 5 clocks to show times in different parts of the world.She wanted classy clocks that looked like a train station. These are perfect. They are classy andlook really expensive but they were so reasonablypriced. They are flat and easy to hang up.And most importantly they are quiet! Cheap clocks are loud.
