I received the bench quick and it was quick and easy to assemble. All parts were accounted for.
The front board was cracked 4 times, each coming from a screw. I did not have time to exchange it because I wanted/needed this bench by a certain date. Hayneedle could not get me the replacement in time. So I had to keep the damaged bench and issued me a 10% refund. 10% off a damaged product. This wasn't shipping damage, this was someone tightening the screws too tight causing the wood to crack.
Hayneedle did offer to replace and emailed a prepaid shipping label. If I did not have a time constraint I definitely would have replaced.

I was so excited about the design of this bench and was disappointed when it arrived damaged. One board was split in a couple different areas, but since it wasn't structural we considered keeping the bench and finding a replacement piece. But then we attempted assembly, and quickly found all the hardware and fasteners were shoddy- several of the screws broke or became stripped using basic tools and techniques. I recommend selecting another model- I have been really happy with my porch swing from hayneedle!

Ordered "early" for mothers day gift. First one was broken, packaged up and was sent back. Replacement I oredered received the following day and was in even worse condition than the first. Appears as though it would be a nice product if someone could design packaging in a manner to deliver without breaking.... I did receive quick shipping and return for the first, hope the second and receiving credit will be as good.

The bench looks great and feels solid - but it arrived damaged - twice. The front board on the bench was split and pulled out at the screws upon arrival. Hayneedle was great about replacing and shipping again; but, the second one arrived damaged in the same way. Difficult to know if its poor manufacturing or poor packaging for shipping. We purchased the matching rocking chairs and had no issue with them.
