A convenient split seat allows you to access the inside storage compartment, even if someone is sitting on the other side. This inside compartment is one single open storage space so you can even store bulky items like blankets or snow gear. Spring hinges keep the seats in the upright position giving you easier access to what's inside. The black finsh will complement most decor styles to make a gerat addition to any room. This bench has a 200-pound weight capacity, but it's not recommended to keep it at capacity for extended periods of time.
This storage bench is made of Rubberwood, a tropical hardwood descending from the Maple family, and native to Thailand. It is a dense grain wood that is commonly used in furniture manufacturing due to its versatility and durability. Eco-friendly, its wood is only used after the tree has stopped its latex-producing cycle and the tree has died, thus there is no need to harvest live trees.

Overall, the bench is adorable and goes perfect in my bedroom. It can hold 1 king pillow and 2 standard pillows in the bench, but nothing more.The quality is acceptable for the price. It's wood and sturdy. Assembly was moderately difficult as some of the predrilled holes wouldn't allow the screws to insert the entire length, so it took some additional drilling. Furthermore, the packaging of the hardware was poor...we had to search the box and packaging for additional screws and still came up 2 short. However, the 2 screws we were missing luckily could be left out so it wasn't that big of a deal. It took about 1.5 hours to assemble mostly by the hands of one person. I recommend this bench if you are looking for just a little something extra for a bedroom or blank wall and need added storage.

First, missing a third of the hardware. Second, the holes pre-drilled didn't line up. Third, because the holes were not drilled properly, the screw then shattered the outside of the front bottom panel,exposing the raw interior which then we saw the entire bench is made of compressed CARDBOARD, not even fiberboard, CARDBOARD. This product is such a piece of[*]. I certainly wouldn't trust it for anyone to actually sit on it. Dont' ever buy this brand.

Went together pretty easy. Better with two people. Looks great. Price was great. I got the matching cushion too and it fits perfectly. I have already recommended this site to several of my friends. Very happy with my purchase. Also fast free shipping.

The front,back and side of the bench feel like plastic, when
you know on it it does not sound or feel like wood at all,
the front panel has a very bad crack and looks like it was fiiled with some kind of epoxy glue and than paint over it.
The description is "rich black paint" it is black yes , but it is a poor painting job, over painted some place, scratche
everywhere.

I was looking for a nice entryway bench with storage and ordered this model. The construction is very good and definitely feels like you could sit more than 180 lbs. on it even though that's what the label claims. However the assembly was a bit difficult and I'd definitely recommend two people. I did it myself and could of used an extra hand to hold a board or two while I tightened the bolts. And actually one of the bolt holes did not even line up so I had to leave one bolt out on the side! Still feels sturdy though. For the price I'd recommend it. One of the less expensive benches so I kind of expect some of these difficulties. Someone mentioned a problem with the spring hinges I was worried about because I have two young kids...but I had no problems installing them and they work perfectly. No slammed fingers yet!
