About Bratt Decor
Bratt Decor was born out of necessity after Mary and Stephen Bauer's long, trying, and unsuccessful journey to find the perfect crib. The couple sought a crib that would bring beauty, harmony, sophistication and balance to their nursery. They wanted sumptuous, luxurious, and comfortable. And they wanted the nursery to feel like home. After scouring every store in two major U.S cities, the couple was disappointed in the selections. Nothing fit their vision, and those that came close were beyond their budget. That's when the Bauer's took matters into their own hands and built their own crib. They realized there must be other discouraged parents out there disappointed in the cribs available. That's when Bauer's set out to start their own business to make the world's most beautiful cribs at prices normal people could afford.

Comments about Bratt Decor Wrought Iron Indigo Convertible Canopy Crib - Pewter:
I searched all over for a wrought iron crib that wasn't a fortune and stumbled across this gem. Apparently Bratt Decor only makes this particular crib for Hayneedle, it cannot be purchased directly from Bratt. That's fine by me as it's about half the price of similar iron cribs.
The picture doesn't even do it justice. The detail on the crib is amazing, it's a small swirl pattern that reflects light and provides visual interest.
It was very easy to put together, my husband and I were done in about 40 minutes. It's very sturdy and the overall product weighs about 90lbs.
You can include the horizontal canopy rails or leave them off, whichever way you prefer, the crib is STUNNING. Everyone who has seen it thinks it's gorgeous. This crib is worth every penny.
We also bought the full size bed conversion kit that is sold separately (also from Hayneedle) for about $250 so that it will grow with our daughter. (I had to call Hayneedle and speak w/ a representative to order the conversion kit because I couldn't find it on their website for some reason.)
My only complaint has nothing to do with Hayneedle or Bratt Decor. The freight company Hayneedle used to have this delivered is Pilot Freight. Their communication re: delivery was mediocre at best. Apparently, because I scheduled delivery using their online scheduling tool vs. talking w/ an actual person, there was some confusion. I had to follow up with them a few times after they didn't show up on the expected delivery date because as it turns out, they only had the conversion kit in their possession, the crib was still in Ohio. But we received both parcels 2 days after we discovered the issue. I can't really complain because it was delivered within 3 weeks of ordering which is basically unheard of when talking about delivery times for cribs.
Don't think twice, BUY IT! You'll love it!
