I cannot see myself not having this accessory for my 8SE. I like to show people the objects I am viewing quite frequently, and this makes it so absolutely no touching of the scope is required. If someone feels the image is out of focus, they simply touch the buttons and make it perfect for them. I can get then refocus once it gets back into my hands.
Installation was easy, and everything fit perfectly with no issues.
I have only a few considerations, not cons. One, I wish you did not have to disassemble the back to replace the battery, though it isn't much of an inconvenience. Second, I wish the slow setting was even slower. I find myself shooting right out of focus when I am fine tuning sometimes, even on the slowest setting. Nothing a little light tapping of the buttons can't fix. Finally, the inability to manually focus when this is attached is a big of an annoyance, though with the highest speed setting manual focus isn't really needed. Again, none of these are any cause for me to lower my score, and I still consider this one of the best purchases I made for my 8SE.
All in all, a great addition to my scope that I could not imagine being without.

Great product, easy to install, parts fit as advertised. The latter being a huge plus. Easy to use and wonderful addition to the Celestron 8SE

This product works great. It is definitely useful on the Celestron single fork design to help eliminate shaking during focusing. The only reason I gave it 4 vs 5 stars is because it doesn't slide onto the focusing knob far enough. I pushed it on fully and the bracket for the mounting screws was still a short distance from the back of the scope. I had to take some pliers and slightly bend the mounting bracket to get it to reach. That was a minor annoyance though and easy to fix. Overall, I would buy this product again.

I had the Motofocus attached to my Celestron 8in scope in a matter of minutes and was pleasantly pleased with the way it worked. I'm sorry it took me this long to buy this item.
