Comments about J & J Wire J & J Wire Large Crock / Plant Stand:
I am a returning customer to Hayneedle.com; I bought this item with confidence and in order to use it for plantings in my antique crocks, similar to the advertised item usage. I was shocked to receive [...] a very flimsy product that doesn't look like the item shown in the ad. I am concerned about fraudulent advertising for this item. [...] The 2 sections should have easily slipped into place to assemble but 1 of the 3 sides wouldn't go down as far as the other 2 and was about 1/4 inch higher than the 2 other sides; I had to place one of my crocks very carefully onto the platform above that joining-point and rely on the weight of the crock to press that area into better alignment. When the crock-holder was assembled after that maneuver I could see that it doesn't really rest into a corner in the stable, firm way picture in the ad - I wouldn't recommend using this crock holder around active kids or pets AT ALL. At best this flimsy cheaply-made item could be used in an indoor location far from traffic, to hold unbreakable items. I have a protected area in the corner of my screened-in balcony/porch that can handle this product and I can use my crocks in it because of the way I have things set up there. However, I would STRONGLY CAUTION AGAINST using this product in any area where kids, pets or adjacent accessed items would be. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT THIS PRODUCT HAS TURNED OUT TO BE.
