With its smart Lift-Top and handy storage features, the Jofran Lift-Top Coffee Table-Oak is able to accommodate the ever-changing needs of your living room. This rectangular coffee table's double-header lift top with safety lock provides convenience and storage options. Raise the table to use as an eating surface or laptop table, and lower it for conventional coffee table use. When the top is elevated, you can also access two storage compartments tucked inside. The spacious lower shelf and slim drawer also offer extra storage space for magazines, books, remote controls, coasters, and more. This innovative coffee table is constructed from durable solid Asian hardwood and covered with oak wood veneer. The warm oak finish has a slightly rustic character to complement most traditional home decor styles. Includes casters for easy transport.

The wheels are great, the movable top is so convenient, and it was fairly easy to assemble. And the price was so reasonable. The wood is beautiful. The design, with the shelf underneath, is perfect for us. When we want to eat on it, we simply move things that were on the top down onto the lower shelf. We really love it. I would have preferred a heavy-duty waterproof finish. So I added several coats of marine varnish to the top and it's fine.

[...] the instructions for installation was easy,and the quaility of the wood was good. The only problem I see is if you do not put any weight on the bottom when the top is up it becomes top heavy, but that is any easy fix.
