Specifically crafted to slice delicate morsels of fresh fish, the Kai Wasabi Black 8 in. Yanagiba Knife is the ideal knife for fish lovers, fisherman, and culinary connoisseurs. This traditional Japanese knife features a stainless-steel Daido 1K6 high-carbon blade with a modern, black polypropylene handle that fuses traditional and modern styles. For superior cutting performance and to keep food from sticking to the blade, the blade is sharpened on a single side. The blade is bead-blasted to an attractive finish and embellished with the Japanese characters for "wasabi". A delicately cut morsel of fish just tastes so much better when the cut of fish was pampered from the time it was brought home from the market and dressed up for dinner in a lemon butter marinade.
