About Martin Furniture
Martin Furniture was founded in 1980 by Gil Martin in the San Diego suburb of El Cajon. Today, Martin Furniture specializes in American-made and imported office and home entertainment furniture. In 2003, it teamed up with Kathy Ireland's design company, creating furniture solutions for families. We purchased this secretary to use in our great room, for mail. bills, etc. It has more storage that we anticipated, and we love the drop down...a perfect place to sit and go through mail, pay bills, etc. An added bonus was the built in power strip! I would highly recommend this...we love it!

I needed to turn the spare bedroom, where I had my computer and writing located, back into a bedroom. I was looking for something that would work for the den. I don't like seeing monitors and electrical equipment sitting out and this desk looks like a beautiful armoire when not in use. I have my 17" monitor on the inside, it fits perfectly with a wall mount fastened on back with a thick piece of plywood to hold the screws and you would never know it's there. The keyboard, mack mini, speakers and mouse all fit inside with the monitor. When closed, everything is out of sight. Below the desk area is a large drawer, beneath that are side by side storage areas, one has a pull out shelf for a printer, and storage for paper below. In the other cabinet is more storage area and a file cabinet. It looks great, and extremely functional. Perfect for my needs.
