I have Brazilian cherry hardwood floors and these bar stools look wonderful in the room. They are classy, sturdy, and although it took one hour to figure out how to assemble the first chair, the rest were a breeze.

These are nice looking and very sturdy stools - well worth the price for their utility. Be aware, they take a loooong time to assemble - very tedious. Also, the quality is uneven. The wood is not totally smooth in places, there is an undulation in the surface of the backs, as if sanded by hand or machine but without great care. This what you get from something made in Malaysia.
The black paint is fine except on the corners, where the finish is rough. I was able to fix the items that bothered me, so I will keep them for casual use.
Be aware, these are far from high end stools. You get what you pay for.

For the price, these barstools are a great value. The upside is the style and the comfort and they swivel. The downside is that the base is not very wide, so they aren't as solid on carpet and if you lift them from the slatted back (common way to move a barstool) the slats pop apart.

I was surprised at the quality of this product. It assembles with machine screws and no wood screws!! Everthing lined up with no filing, sanding,prying like most other self assembled items.It compares to stools that sell in stores from 159.99 to 199.99. The color also matches that shown on internet.
