Description
When most other modern objects require you to come to them, the Layton All-Weather Wicker Balcony Chat Set does everything it can to bring modern style to your space and situation. Under the shifting tones of the brown resin wicker is a frame of rust-proof aluminum that can withstand climates from Reykjavik to Rio. Resin wicker looks and feels just like traditional wicker, but has the resistance to rot, wear and moisture that comes from its resin construction. Each chair and ottoman includes a foam-filled cushion covered with outdoor, all-weather canvas fabric in neutral beige. The companion end table sports a glass top, creating the perfect spot to land when enjoying a coffee in the morning or a beer at night, or just spending the middle of the day relaxing. Each chair weighs 20 lbs, the ottomans weigh 6 lbs and the end table weighs 8 lbs. No assembly is required.

About the cushions
While this cushion fabric is highly water-repellent, if left out in the rain or under sprinklers, it will absorb moisture along the stitching. We recommend that you cover the cushions or store them indoors when not in use. If the cushions do get wet, stand them on their side and allow the water to drain out of the stitched seam. To clean, use mild dish soap and water, do not use harsh chemicals.

I bought this back in August and waited to review until I saw how it held up through the winter. I generally bring it inside if I know we're getting a big snowstorm, but I accidently left the wicker portion outside once, got a foot of snow, and had no problems with the set. Holds up well through rain too. The set looks really nice on my balcony; friends & family think I paid much more than I actually did for it. The angle of the backrest is great, and the cushions are surprisingly comfortable. The cushions are much nicer than they appear in the picture - they're tan, with a nice "cross-stitch" pattern.
The reason I'm writing this review is because I can't believe no one has mentioned that the ottomans "nest" under the chairs. The chairs are hollow (and study), and you can flip the ottoman upside down and place the chair on over it. It's a perfect fit, and the chair settles perfectly to the ground; you can sit on it after nesting the ottomans if you like. This is a perfect set for me; I have a 6' x 14' balcony and am able to put the two chairs right next to each other, the table in front, and the ottomans wherever I want, very comfortably. When I have guests over, 2 of us sit in the chairs and two sit on the ottomans.
Only reason I mark it down a star is because the screws really don't fit in perfectly, you have to play with them to get the set level. I only had slight problems with the table; luckily the chairs and ottomans were fine.
Buy it! You'll be happy you did. Trust, if you're looking for a small balcony/ patio set, this is the best you'll find. I spent weeks scouring the internet and kept coming back to this one. My only hesitations were the fact that I didn't think the ottomans would fit under the chairs (but as I already said, they do), and I was concerned about the color/ quality of the cushions (but again, they are fine and much nicer in person). Wish I bought the set sooner!

They tip easily. One of my ottoman's had a foot missing. I was told they could not send me a foot and I could have a credit so I could purchase my own. This is terrible customer service. I do not expect to buy something and have to run to the hardware store to find a piece for it.
These would not be great for children.

I realized I gave the incorrect dimensions of my balcony; I listed it at 6x14 and said this product fit in perfectly. My mistake; my balcony is only 5 feet wide. Unfortunately am unable to edit my original review. Didn't want to deter people who were looking for a small footprint and thought they needed 6 feet of space.

Set is well made and comfortable. Photos reflect true color.
The set was shipped via Pilot Freight. On the day of delivery, Pilot refused to give me a "30 minute out" so that I could run home from work to accept and sign for the delivery. Pilot said "We are too busy at this time of year to call ahead, but by law the driver must wait 10 minutes for you." So upon receiving the call from the driver that he was at my house, I had 10 minutes to dash out of work, get to my car, and speed home. Seems to me that if they are busy, then they would want to avoid having to make a second delivery attempt!! Why not call me as they are leaving previous delivery address and give me warning?? Two thumbs down for Pilot Freight.
