Came out of the box with the stop that keeps the top from flipping backwards broken off. THe way it was in the box it was packaged that way. The material is one step above cardboard and the corners aren't even smooth. My son loves the farm theme on it but it is not worth the price. It is one of the lowest quality products i've seen in a long time. [*] The only reason I'm keeping it is my son likes the pictures and every other option is probably just a s low quality. THe surface is also slick so it could be easy to slip off of it. I've only had it for a week so we'll see how it lasts.

I purchased this step stool for my 9-month-old son. He doesn't use it as a step stool at this point, but we use it as toy storage, and for him to kneel on and rummage around in. In that respect, it is perfect. I was a little disappointed that you can only put toys in the top step, but it is great for little toys. I am also so pleased with the bright, cheery farm scene painted on it. It seems very durable, in the sense that it won't rub off or get scratched off very easily. The step stool itself is also very sturdy and durable. I just wish that the hinge on the lid had a "slow-close" feature, as he tends to slam it down on his fingers when he hangs on to the side. But he is little, and when he gets older, I don't think this will be an issue.As an actual step stool, I can tell that it will bear his weight well, and it is wide enough that he won't be able topple off of it easily. It will be very useful for using the sink, or helping at the counter top.Assembly was easy, with clear instructions and minimal steps to follow. Overall I am very happy with the step stool. [...]

I was looking for a stool that my 2 year old could use to wash his hands and brush his teeth. This stool is perfect! It is the perfect height so he can reach the sink and he loves it so much that he wants to wash his hands and brush his teeth! It was easy to put together, I did it myself with a two year old "helping". It is very sturdy and the compartment is great to hide whatever toy suits his fancy at the time. The paint job is adorable and looks great left out in the bathroom, even when guests come.

I bought this for my 20 month old daughter so she could reach the sink to wash her hands and brush her teeth. She loves the design (she knows all her farm animals!) and it fits perfectly in her bathroom. She can climb it on her own, the steps are wide and deep enough so I am not concerned about her slipping off the edge. It was very easy to put together and took me less than 15 minutes with my daughter "helping". She loves the independence it gives her and I am thinking of buying another one for the downstairs bathroom and to use in the kitchen so she can "help" me cook too!
