Now you can attach focal reducers to the ETX and use it as a high quality astro-photographic instrument. Attach flip-mirrors, off-axis guiders, or any other accessory that would require a SCT thread.Here's how it works
Thread the Back Cell Thread Adapter onto the photo port of Meade's ETX 90/105/125 AT or PE version Telescopes. Now you can attach a f/6.3 or a f/3.3 focal reducer to the telescope, and any other Meade accessories that require a SCT thread. The f/6.3 and f/3.3 focal reducers provide a larger field of view, and cuts down the exposure time for these long focal length telescopes.
Here are the focal length conversions for using the focal reducers on the ETX series telescopes
Note: In order to attach the Meade Deep Sky Imager to the Back Cell Thread Adapter, the optional 1.25" eyepiece holder (part number 07182) is required.

this adapter will allow you to use the Meade SCT camera adapter on Seben's comet or any other Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope. No more vignetting due to the adapters size. This is most likely one of the best adapters I have come across. Just screw it onto your telescope and then add the SCT adapter with the appropriate T-2 adapter and camera and you're all set. works great!

This is a must adapter if you want to use your rear cell of the ETX90, 125PE telescope for your CCD camera or an additional eyepiece then this is for you.

So far I have been using this to let me do simple astrophotography using the rear cell on an ETX. Using this I can attach a 1.25" visual back and attach a camera after that. It also easily lets focal reducers meant for SCTs work on the ETX.
The upside, it does exactly what you expect, as long as you don't expect performance with 2" visual backs.
The downside, it tends to get stuck in the 1.25" visual back, and you can't use any SCT accessories when the ETX is in Alt/Az mode pointing near Zenith. There just isn't the clearance in the forks.
