My 3-year old grandaughter has not stopped playing with this. She "blows" out her candles and sings "Happy Birthday" to herself over and over. The pieces are easy to manipulate and the velcro is just right to hold pieces in place yet easy enough for a 3-year old to separate. It would have been easier if there was no velcro on the sides of the cake wedges, but overall it's a great toy!
