I originally purchased the Minnetonka Mens Straight Plug Moccasins (Genuine Moose) around 4 to 5 years ago and I loved them. They fit perfectly and felt great from the start. They finally wore out. The recent pair I purchased seems to have had a design change in the sizing department. The wide does not seem like a true wide and the sole seems smaller in width than what I had in the past. Even though I knew they were not exactly as I remembered them, I kept them because I loved the first pair so much. I am counting on this pair to eventually conform more to my feet. I do not know if this is just a isolated problem with the company who manufactured the sole or if Minnetonka just sold them as wide and they were not. Because of this I would advise anyone purchasing the moccasin not to assume the wide will really be a wide. I regret that I did not wait and go to another store to see if their Minnetonka moccasins fit differently because their moccasins my have been from a different manufacturing lot. My general complaint is that a company likes to screw with a product in an attempt to make a few more pennies on the dollar and ends up negatively changing the orginal product. My impatience cost me but I do not know of any other company that produces a like moccasin and sells it nationally.
