I usually take an 8-1/2 medium, but bought the 8 medium. I thought they would stretch out because of the leather, and the packing down of the lining, but a month later they still feel a little tight. But you know, they are so light and conform to your foot so perfectly, I barely notice I have them on. I'm confident they will stretch some more - not a problem. They are toasty warm and made very well. I never take them off in the house, and I am home a lot, and they seem like a second skin. The only time I take them off is when it is above 77 degrees or when I go to bed at night. I have even worn them to bed on cold, cold nights. They are exactly what I wanted and would buy them again should these ever wear out, although they show no signs of wear after more than a month. They don't stain, the ties stay tied since the leather ties are of such high quality. Absolutely no complaints at all.
