Comments about MIO Energy Pro Heart Rate Monitor Watch:
I bought the Mio Energy Pro Heart Rate Monitor and chest band about 2 1/2 months ago, using it two or three times a week for ice hockey. Since it doesn't transmit to my computer, I've been keeping a spreadsheet of its readings. I remove the strap and watch shortly after playing, then stick the watch in my pocket and enter the data within the next few hours. Sometimes, though, I find that it is still upping the data at that time. Right now, for instance, it says that my heart rate is 227 and has been in the "above" zone for more than two hours -- even though the chest band hasn't been near me or the watch for several hours now. So, today's registered totals are useless. And it won't let me reset or zero-out the data. (I'll try again later.)
Other days, it has behaved itself and provided useful information. On those days, I'd give it 4.5 stars. On days like today, I'd give it 1 star. Perhaps part of this is my error, but how am I to know, when Mio provides only a one-page "User Guide" that is of no use when things go bad?
