i got the bench so we had a place to put our shoes on when we left the apartment. For this purpose the bench works great. If you have a screwdriver that fits the bolts, you will save yourself a lot of time than if you have to use the tool supplied by the company.

Being a first time customer at Hayneedle, we did not know what to expect. Package arrived promptly, bench was good quality and well finished EXCEPT for the fact that the grooves of the base panel did not align with front/back panels of the top box we assembled.
We aligned only 1 side of the panel and procceded to assemble the rest but this led to one of the screws tearing through the front panel damaging this otherwise excellent product. Since we will be putting this bench in a narrow hallway we hope this damage/crack is not very noticable visually. Disappointing for a otherwise excellent product.
