Specifically purchased their Nexera 72 inch Bookcase because Hayneedle and BookcasesGalore very clearly stated on their website that this product came assembled. This bookcase is more expensive than the usual unassembled bookcases you see everywhere else, but as I am currently ill and disabled, I required an assembled bookcase and thus paid Hayneedle the extra dollars for what they advertised as coming assembled. However, the bookcase arrived completely unassembled anyway! And, it was far too heavy for me to even lift the gazillion pieces it showed up in so that I could even make an attempt to assemble. When I emailed Hayneedle, they admitted in writing that it was indeed advertised as assembled, but basically Hayneedle did nothing more than tell me that was an error, and that I had to lift and ship this mess back to them in order for them to provide refund. Hayneedle never offered to help me get the item back to them, to provide me with an assembled option, or to compensate
me for all the time and money that I was out due to their false advertising! I forewent other assembled options on special sale elsewhere also because I believed Hayneedle when their website said the bookcase came assembled and they do all they can to help their customers. Well, maybe they only treat their disabled customers this way since we have few options to handle or return items like this! Truly awful experience. Hayneedle shouldn't be allowed to falsely advertise like this!

This is a functional storage piece. It's not unattractive, but it's not decorative. It's very sturdy and holds a ton of heavy books. My only complaint would be the color. I actually may have received the wrong item, because the color is much lighter than the Cappuccino pictured or any I have seen. (My bad for not verifying before I assembled.) If you want a dark piece, I would consider the black.
